cat litter odor
I just moved into an apartment where the previous owners seem to have kept their litter box in a closet that I would like to use as my linen closet. What is the best way to get rid of this lingering smell? I have scrubbed and bleached, placed a box of baking soda, burnt a candle — to no avail. Help?
I had the same problem with cat urine smells when I babysat my father’s cat for 3 months. I tried Vinegar, Baking Soda, Enzymes, and Fabreeze. None of these worked for me.
What finally eliminated stench of pee was Lemon Scented Pine Sol™. Nothing else even dented that smell.
Pour undiluted Lemon Scented Pine Sol into a spritzer bottle and spray the closet with this.
Allow to dry.
Small warning: the scent of the Lemon Pine Sol will be absolutely overwhelming for a while. The Pine Sol smell will be basically unbearable, but it dissipates. And once it does the urine smell will be gone — not covered up, but gone.
You might have to repeat a couple of times, but this works. This is the ONLY thing I have ever found that gets rid of the smell of urine.
Make sure you use the Lemon Scented Pine Sol, not the regular scent.

cat litter boxes
to be filling the house through the air conditioning vents up stairs but when you go down stairs where the boxes are in the basement you dont smell them I dont get it does anyone have this problem thanks.
I have 5 whole, breeding Maine Coons, my Tom has very strong urine odor. I handle the odor by changing my 3 huge litter boxes every few days. When I have kittens I have up to 8 litter boxes and go through over 100 lbs of litter every few days. I scoop them at least 3 times a day. I go through 60 pounds of litter every few days with the 3 large litter pans. I don’t have an odor problem as a matter of fact people have commented that they are surprised they don’t smell cats in my home. Lots of litter, poop scooping and litter changing is the secret to keep odor away!

litter boxes
And it’s not just indoor cats that use litter boxes. It’s outdoor cats too.
They make litterboxes for dogs, but generally for small dogs.

tidy cat litter
I have 3 cats , and it s getting too expensive to keep up with the cat litter sand ! tidy cats has been the best but costs a lot and they only fill up the bucket to 3/4 , cheaters !
advices plz
Have you ever heard of Feline Pine? If you have, then you know it is a superb, long-lasting, super deoderizing litter that is ALSO environmentally friendly. So, what could be better? Wood Stove Pellets. Same stuff, only wood stove pellets cost about $7 for 40 lbs (and no tax). Flushable or compostable, it don’t get much better. I’ve been using wood pellets for years, and I love it, and so do the cats. Give it a try.

tidy cat litter
I have 3 cats, we use clumping clay litter (Tidy Cats usually) but I’m sick of it getting tracked all over. We tried the litter made from corn, but that gets tracked everywhere also, although it’s not as noticeable. I really just want to train all my cats to use the toilet LOL, but I don’t think that’s a viable option. A friend told me that she loves Feline Pine which I haven’t tried yet. What are you thoughts? What do you use?
Hands down my favorite is Dr. Elsey’s Precious Cat clumping litter, very little dust and tracking. Best of all my cats love it. You won’t find it at the grocery, but PetSmart does stock it.
good luck!
