cat litter furniture
my cat is 4 years old and was just fixed. but this peeing crap on loose clothing and furniture has been going on for two years now. she has and uses a litter box. why does she do it and how can i prevent it? is it possible to train her to stop?
It’s most likely the stress of the hormonal changes she’s going through. The vet needs to check her for UTI just to be safe. Feliway diffusers work wonders at calming anxiety in most cats. Try one and see if that helps. You can keep her in a smaller area for a few days to help get her back on track with the litterbox. Cats won’t soil their living quarters so being in a small space will encourage her to use the box.

cat litter furniture
Hi, my cat is always very clean, but lately I tried giving him cat litter which said it clumps, but did not really work. So I tried World’s Best Cat Litter. It’s excellent for clumping, odor control and mess, BUT each time my cat goes to the loo(!) his urine gets clumped and sticks to his bum and sometimes even halfway his belly! What do I do? I dont want to change from WBCL, but I don’t want this urine on him?? help please as this smudges all over my furniture!!!??
There’s a little called Swheat Scoop and its works amazing! I have 2 cats and I use it. Its made from wheat, it clumps, but it doesn’t get stuck to them. They also don’t leave litter everywhere. Its really cost effective too. Its also flushable and 100% biodegradable! Its never gotten stuck on mine.
There is also a brand called feline pine. Its not as cost effective, but it smells good! It clumps, its not flushable. It is biodegradable and even when i clean the kitty litter i can’t smell the poop. However they do tract it a little bit, not a lot..but a little. I do prefer it to feline pine over shweat scoop because i find it easier to clean and it smells like pine (its basically really fine pine chips, they’e soft)
also if there is a ton of little (up to his tummy) that could be why its getting stuck on his belly

tidy cat litter
I am taking care of my friends 2 year old female cat. I am not a cat person so I truly have no idea what I’m doing. Right now I am using his ‘Purina Tidy Cat for Multiple Cats’ cat litter. The cat litter itself actually smells good but this cat takes the WORST dumps! Any better Cat Litter I can use? Also all the cat eats is regular Meow Mix and it’s not eating table scraps meaning its poo naturally just smells that bad.
I like this stuff called litter purrfect. It works really well. Just keep the thing clean, it will go a long way towards helping with the smell.

cat litter odor
i have have 3 cats right now and i just found out that i am preg i know that you are not supose to be around the cat feces or cat litter. well if the cat odor gets to me will that hurt me? and what is it about it that will hurt me and the baby so much.
i changed my cats box for 10 weeks before I knew I was pregnant! the doctor said if I had to wear gloves and cover face not to inhale the liter the poop cats carry can have toxics in it the Doing so could put you at risk for contracting a disease called Toxoplasmosis. This is an infection that can occur via contact with the stool of an infected cat. The risk to your baby is substantial. Cats are often infected from outside sources including rodents that (uncooked lunchmeats also carry the same thing.) if your cat is a indoor cat the chances of your cat carrying that bacteria or disease is slim to nothing! & if you’ve been around cats your whole life yor most likely immune to what they carry. so my doctor told me to avoid it as much as possible but not to stress!

cat litter boxes
I am just wondering what kind of cat box’s people use to see maybe whats best. I currently use a hooded box with a little swinging door. I have been looking at this litter box at the pet store that looks like a Rubbermaid container. (smaller in size though, with a lid that has a hole on the top for kitty access). If anyone uses this kind let me know what is your take on it/if your cats like it or not. Also if you have any suggestions please take into consideration that I have two cats, one is about 15 pounds (she is not fat so don’t tell me i should put my cat on a diet she is just a naturally tall and big boned cat with fur that weighs about 5 pounds it self) the other is teeny tiny about 7 pounds (Also she is not under under fed, she eats more than her share). Also I am looking into getting a toy sized puppy so an uncovered box is basically out of the question! (Don’t need puppy to be eating poop)!
So any information you have on any kind of litter box would be appreciated!
I have the PetMate Jumbo Size Litter Box that works well with my crew.
The boxes are large enough so they can turn around and dig (they are diggers!!) and the sides are high enough so the litter doesn’t track too much onto the surrounding area.
Choosing a good litterbox is not an easy task actually. Many tends to choose a litterbox based on what they feel is good for the cats, and not the other way round!
It is up to you to decide what type is the most suitable for yours. Some cats are timid and they tend to do well in a hooded box, some, like mine are diggers, and you will need to find boxes with higher sides. Some cats hate to be confined so then you will need to find a box without a hood.
The general rule of choosing a good litterbox is one that is large enough so your cats can turn itself. Also, with two cats, you would actually need three litterboxes if you have a large home. If you live in a smaller apartment, and your cats do not mind sharing one box, then at least have two.
Try to stay away from top entry litter box because while younger cats have no problem using them, older cats are not as agile. Once they have gotten used to a top entry box while younger, switching them back to the regular box can be quite difficult. Unless of course you can invest on a step case for them to climb up.
Good luck with your search!
